The Aphrodite Adventure
As a client of Aphrodite Photography, you will have the luxury of all the time, and attention you need to indulge in your Aphrodite Adventure and to revel in Your Story afterwards. To commemorate it, you will receive a luxury custom album containing the most important images of you. For many of my clients, their experiences prove to be the magical entryway to the rest of their lives, the better lives they want and deserve. The album serves as a touchstone to re-experience the feelings and emotions encountered on the journey. Don't like the way you look in pictures? Join the crowd. Consultation/Planning
(2 hour minimum or however long it takes)
Do you want to try your hand out at being a Bond Girl? A stripper or pole dancer? A Goddess of Beauty like our namesake Aphrodite? Or perhaps a Champion of Truth and Justice such as Wonder Woman? Do you have a desire to smash your bathroom scale to smithereens with a sledgehammer? Do you need to cry? Do you need to be at the beach or in a waterfall in West Virginia? Can you imagine yourself, proudly nude, standing atop a mountain? Do you have no idea of what you need or want to do but you desperately know it’s time you do something? If any of these ideas ring a bell for you, there is an excellent chance that you are a candidate for being an Aphrodite Woman. Together we will decide on the starting point and what might be needed in the way of props, accessories, and location. Then one step at a time, the journey will determine the rest.
Your session, depending on concept, can take place in a photography studio environment, outdoors, or in several hotel or Airbnb facilities in reasonable proximity to my base in Columbia SC. It’s hard to argue with a fabulous location and sometimes it is absolutely necessary. On the other hand, I’ve had clients who climbed mountains, lay on the sand of a tropical beach, rode horseback, competed in a triathlon, soaked in a luxurious candle-lit bubble bath, and/or faced down and conquered the worst trauma of their lives, all in the controlled safety of the studio with only a simple background and a few props being all that was needed.
With respect to going on-location, if you, the client, provide a suitable venue within a two-hour drive of Columbia, I’ll waive any location fee. This two-hour circle includes Charlotte NC, Augusta GA, and all of South Carolina except the far corners of the state. Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Asheville NC, and Savannah GA will incur reasonable additional travel expense. Atlanta GA in a day is possible but if you live and drive around there, you know what you are asking. We’ll work it out. Note: I spent the first 14 years of my photography career in Washington DC and the DMV is one great, big photography set. Please, please invite me back up there to create with you.
Restrictions
You must be eighteen years of age, as does any additional participants if that is the way you need to go. The average age of my client is 40 but it runs about two decades in either direction from there. My basic rules are 1) Consenting adults only. 2) We have lots of fun. 3) No mind-altering drugs or alcohol, period. 4) We do nothing that might result in the need to call 911. Beyond that, pretty much anything goes. You gotta do what you gotta do.
